Parents are being warned to be vigilant for a 'baby snatch gang' after a one-year-old girl was almost ripped from her pram while on a shopping trip with her elder sister.
Three women and a man were said to be following the baby's sister as she pushed the tot around TK Maxx in Crewe. At one point one of them reportedly lunged for the one-year-old before they all left the scene.
A photo was later shared on social media of the suspects with a plea for parents to take care in the town as the woman explained how they tried to 'chore' - slang for steal - her sister, Stoke on Trent Live reports.
Another woman then came forward to say the same group had left her feeling uneasy after they followed her around Aldi and stared at her newborn baby.
