Huge music legend slams Gregg Wallace for 'humiliating' his wife

Sir Rod Stewart has hit out at Gregg Wallace for allegedly 'humiliating his wife' Penny Lancaster during her stint on Celebrity MasterChef.

It comes after MasterChef's production company announced on Thursday, 28 November that Gregg would be taking a break from the show while an external review into allegations of misconduct against him was conducted.

A statement from Banijay UK, the production company behind the show, was given to the PA news agency. It stated that Gregg was “committed to fully cooperating throughout the process” amid the ongoing investigation. “This week the BBC received complaints from individuals in relation to historical allegations of misconduct while working with presenter Gregg Wallace on one of our shows,” it said. “Whilst these complainants have not raised the allegations directly with our show producers or parent company Banijay UK, we feel that it is appropriate to conduct an immediate, external review to fully and impartially investigate. “While this review is underway, Gregg Wallace will be stepping away from his role on MasterChef and is committed to fully cooperating throughout the process.
