The open beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will kick off on Friday evening. However, not everyone will be able to take part in the first round, with the game hosting two separate weeks of early access.

Firstly, only PlayStation 4 and 5 players will be able to take part for the first week which means if you're on Xbox or PC, you will have to wait a little longer to get sunk in.

Furthermore, to take part tonight at 6pm British time, you must have pre-ordered the game on PlayStation. Otherwise, the open beta will take place on Sunday, October 8 for the rest of PlayStation players at 6pm British Time.
