Alex Jones has revealed 'it's time for another adventure' as she takes a break from BBC's The One Show during the English half-term holidays.

On Monday, October 23, viewers tuned into the show to discover the Welsh presenter was absent from the famous sofa, leaving fellow regular host Jermaine Jenas to host alongside BBC Sport presenter Gabby Logan.

Monday's episode saw guests Nicole Scherzinger and Bear Grylls appear on the show, reports Wales Online.Meanwhile, Alex shared on her Instagram stories that it was "time for another adventure" as she appeared to be boarding the LeShuttle to France.Alex's new gig comes on the same day as her new Winter Edit for Cotton Traders goes live, a collection that sees the Welsh TV star model coats, cosy jumpers and cord trousers for a stylish autumn look.This won't be the first time the 46-year-old has jetted off to France in the past few months.

At the end of the summer, she and her family took a trip to a seaside resort on the French coast, and shared a snap of her riding a mint green bike during the break captioned 'Island life' in which she tagged the location Île de Ré, an island off the west coast of the country.In June, the star opened up about balancing her work life with being a mother to her three children under the age of six as well as talking about her love of nature and her family's lifestyle on Gabby Logan's podcast 'Midpoint'.
