Manchester City return to domestic action this afternoon when they travel to Wembley for the Community Shield against Arsenal.
The Blues participated in the traditional season curtain raiser last year but will be hoping for a better outcome this time around.
Last season's match took place at the King Power Stadium and saw City fall to a 3-1 defeat to Liverpool. Trent Alexander-Arnold opened the scoring in the first half before Julian Alvarez equalised on his debut.
However, two late goals from Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez secured the shield for Jurgen Klopp's side. Of course, it would be Pep Guardiola who was left smiling at the end of the campaign after securing a famous Treble while the Merseyside club failed to qualify for the Champions League.
