Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, KCVO ADC (Henry Charles Albert David;15 September 1984) is the younger son of Charles, Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales and is sixth in the line of succession to the British throne. Harry was educated at Wetherby School, Ludgrove School, and Eton College. He spent parts of his gap year in Australia and Lesotho. He then underwent officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He was commissioned as a cornet (second lieutenant) into the Blues and Royals, serving temporarily with his brother Prince William, and he completed his training as a troop leader. In 2007–08, he served for over ten weeks in Helmand, Afghanistan, but was pulled out after an Australian magazine revealed his presence there. An adorable snap of Prince George reportedly convinced Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to step back from the Royal Family, according to a book author.The Duke and Duchess of Sussex allegedly felt that the Firm was "conspiring against them" even before an official photo was released featuring the Queen and her heirs.

The image depicted the late Queen Elizabeth II with the now-King Charles, Prince William and his six year old son in the throne room at Buckingham Palace.This picture was made public at the start of 2020, just days before Harry and Meghan announced their intention to step down as working royals.

Author Andrew Morton suggests this was a "wake up call" for the couple and provided the final push they needed to leave.At first glance, the photo simply portrayed the future of the monarchy, echoing many historic portraits.

However, it is claimed to have caused distress behind the scenes. In his book Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, Morton penned: "The royal couple suspected that the entire institution was conspiring against them.
