The Bank Holiday weekend is expected to get off to a sunny start in Greater Manchester. Highs of 17C are forecast for the region on Saturday but it could turn cloudy later on.
High-pressure has been largely dominant over the UK in recent days, bringing a good deal of dry, fine weather and some sunny spells.
The pleasant weather is expected to continue over the long weekend, but light showers could dampen the mood at times. According to the Met Office, the day will start off dry with some morning sunshine.
It is then expected to turn cloudier through the day with "some rain possible during the afternoon". Forecasters have said it will feel "warm in any sunshine" as temperatures creep up as high as 17C in some areas.
