Heavy rain looks set to batter Greater Manchester this evening as the miserable August weather continues. A yellow weather warning for rain has been issued by the Met Office throughout Saturday evening and into the early hours of Sunday.
Heavy rain, showers and isolated thunderstorms may cause some flooding and transport disruption, meteorologists have predicted.

According to the Met Office weather warning, the heavy rain could lead to delays for car and bus journeys as well as train services.
