A teenager suffered serious head injuries after being hit by a tram in Oldham town centre. The 19-year-old was taken to hospital after being knocked down at King Street Metrolink stop on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to the scene at around 11am. No arrests have been made, although a police scene was in place for much of the day.
Trams were not stopping at King Street or Oldham Mumps stations while an investigation into the crash was ongoing. A stationary tram can be seen inside the cordon. A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said: "A 19-year-old man was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital with a head injury.
