Stunned mums and dads have hit out after seeing the free school meal rations their children are given. Local authorities continue to provide meals for children even though schools are closed, but parents are far from impressed with what they've seen.
One mum lashed out after her child's food ration for the week included bread, a bag of cereal, baked beans, four eggs, a bag of pasta and a selection of spreads.
There was, however, no fresh fruit or vegetables. A parent from Hastings told the Sun Online that there was nowhere near enough food to feed her teenage son, fuming: "They've only given me a handful of pasta and my son is 13 for god's sake. "There's no fruit and veg and not even cheese or something." Another mum said she'd complained
