A man was seriously injured after his car was left completely crushed in a horror collision with a HGV in Wigan on Thursday night (August 22).
Police, paramedics and fire crews raced to the scene of the incident on Fourmarts Road shortly before midnight. A Vauxhall Astra was involved in the crash with a heavy goods vehicle.
Pictures from the scene show the wreckage that was left after the crash. The driver of the Astra, a man aged in his 20s, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital from the scene.
His condition is not described as life-threatening.
