Firefighters rescued a casualty from a car following a crash on a busy Trafford road. Emergency services descended on the A560 Woodlands Road, in Altrincham, at around 11.30am this morning (September 2).
It followed a collision involving two vehicles. Two fire engines were called out to the scene, with crews required to use specialist equipment to release one person from a vehicle.
They were helped by paramedics at the scene. Greater Manchester Police confirmed that one person was injured in the crash. The road has since reopened. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "At just after 11.30am today (Monday, September 2), fire crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Woodlands Road in Altrincham.
