The actor, who plays Sylver McQueen in the Channel 4 soap, broke the news on Instagram as he shared a picture of Abis baby bump. "Some good news came out of 2020," the 35-year-old Manchester native said in the caption.
The accompanying picture showed a shadow of mum-to-be Abi with her arms raised to show off her stomach. David was quickly inundated with congratulatory messages from his followers and celebrity pals.
Jake Quickenden told the star: "Congrats bro we got this." Jake is also set to become a first time dad this year after announcing his own happy news with girlfriend Sophie Church in September last year.
