A court has heard of a chilling plot to murder ITV's Holly Willoughby, with the accused security guard purchasing a "kidnap kit" of rope, metal cable ties, and handcuffs.
Gavin Plumb, 37, stands accused of devising a plan to kidnap and assault the beloved This Morning presenter over a span of nearly two years until his arrest last October.
The court was informed that an extensive collection of images featuring Holly and other female celebrities were found on Plumb's electronic devices.
He had also talked about kidnapping two other well-known women with an online acquaintance from Ireland named Marc. Plumb had detailed to Marc his strategy to monitor Holly to look for an easy opportunity to strike, suggesting that he wanted a "simple place to strike but a home invasion is a better idea".The prosecution alleges that Plumb was attempting to fulfill his ultimate fantasy, driven by an "obsession" with Holly.
