In the last few months, three high-profile TV presenters have been entangled in scandals, and many fans have been left wondering if they will returns to screens again.Back in May, This Morning presenter Phillip Scofield quit ITV following a rumoured feud between himself and long-standing co-star Holly Willoughby, before he then admitted to an "unwise but not illegal" affair with a younger male colleague, something which he previously denied.The public admission and then the fallout with ITV and best pal Holly saw the disgraced presenter walk from the channel altogether, and with it sacrificing his reign as the king of daytime TV.
All three men, Phillip Schofield, Huw Edwards, and James Martin, all responded differently to the scandals but according to a crisis communications and PR expert, some made matters worse, seeing very different outcomes and were either rescued or jeopardised by those around them, writes The Mirror.
In Phil's departing statement, he said: “I have always been proud to cover fascinating stories on This Morning. But recently, This Morning itself has become the story.
Throughout my career in TV – including the very difficult last few days – I have always done my best to be honourable and kind.
