The fears of ITV bosses came true as the popular morning show was reportedly met with a chorus of booing from the crowds at the event held in London's O2 arena.
And things went from bad to worse when it was announced they had lost out on the Best Daytime award for the first time in 13 years.
They lost out to the BBC's The Repair Shop and host Jay Blades gave Holly a hug before taking to the stage to collect the award on behalf of his team, admitting that he was blown away as the "new kid on the block".
