Holby City fans are still heartbroken that the much-loved medical drama is coming to an end. And it seems emotions are running equally as high for the cast and crew of the long-running BBC series, which will come to a close at the end of March.

Now, the show’s star Guy Henry, best known as hospital boss Henrik Hanssen, has opened up on what the last days of filming were like, confessing that saying goodbye “completely floored” the team. The actor, who has been on the show since 2010, confessed: “It has all been emotional because we've had to say goodbye to crew as we've gone on, every time that happens it just completely floors us.” Get exclusive celebrity stories and fabulous photoshoots straight to your inbox with OK!'s daily newsletter Guy, 61, continued in his interview with Digital Spy: “It's been so emotional.

I've worked with these people for about 12 years. “They're probably the loveliest bunch of people you would ever work with. It's famously, for guest actors, one of the most pleasant shows to be on. “You are nervous when you rock up and it's a well-oiled machine.

It's striking the balance between a jolly atmosphere on set and trying to do good work.” But while fans get ready to mourn the loss of Henrikk and his hospital colleagues, Guy says that the Holby gang will no doubt remain in touch after forming a close bond over the years.
