Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. (born November 20, 1942) is an American politician who served as the 47th vice president of the United States from 2009 to 2017 and represented Delaware in the U.S. Senate from 1973 to 2009. A member of the Democratic Party, Biden is the presumptive Democratic nominee for president in the 2020 election. He unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 and in 2008.

foxnews.comGroups representing colleges and universities have urged President-elect Joe Biden to “move quickly” and undo many of President Trump’s orders that affect higher education policy, including Title IX reform and critical race theory.
In a letter from the American Council on Education, which was signed by 46 higher education groups, President Ted Mitchell wrote that the incoming Biden administration should remove the new Title IX mandate for a live hearing with cross-examination in cases of sexual assault on campus.
