Two heroic workmen helped detain a suspected robber after a pensioner was mugged, police have revealed. Investigating officers now want to speak to the men as enquiries continue.
A 35 year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of robbery and is currently in police custody for questioning after the incident in Droylsden, Tameside, early on Thursday morning.

Officers were called to Fairfield Road in Droylsden at 7.15am on Thursday. The pensioner's condition, or whether she was injured, hasn't been revealed.
