War veteran Captain Tom Moore has captured the attention of millions as he raises a staggering amount of money for the NHS. The 99-year-old set out to raise £1,000 for the hospital charities by walking 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday at the end of this month.
But in the last 24 hours, the amount he had raised had more than doubled from £5m to £12m - and it's still going up. And this morning, Captain Tom completed his 100th lap way ahead of schedule.
Speaking to Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Thursday's Good Morning Britain, Mr Moore said that NHS workers on the front line "deserve everything we can give them" before offering his own message of hope.
