The ITV soap has become a fan favourite in that time and there are plenty of forums dedicated to storylines and theories.To celebrate the shows 50th anniversary in October producers Jane Hudson and Laura Shaw have said the big milestone will see a "golden month of celebration".
It also looks like some old familiar faces could be returning, and some babies may be born. According to the producers, storylines will be set up in advance and come to a head in the so called "golden month." However, what makes the show what it is is the stellar cast line up it has and had before some of the biggest names left the show.
