Read on for all the info.The latest entry in the franchise based on the Hasbro toy line, the film is set on Cybertron, the home planet of the Transformers, and it depicts the origins of the relationship between Optimus Prime and Megatron.Directed by Josh Cooley (Toy Story 4) and based on a screenplay by Eric Pearson (Black Widow), Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari, it features a voice cast that includes Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, Laurence Fishburne and Jon Hamm.Transformers One is a standalone film, separate from the saga that began with Michael Bay’s 2007 original film.

Bay directed four further entries in the series. A spinoff feature, Bumblebee, arrived in 2018, starring Hailee Steinfeld and John Cena, and a 2023 sequel to that film arrived in 2023 in the form of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.The new film arrived in UK cinemas on Friday (October 11), having already been released in the US and elsewhere in September.Transformers One features an original score by Brian Tyler, who rose to prominence with his work on the Fast & Furious franchise, and has since gone on to work on films including Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Crazy Rich Asians and The Super Mario Bros.

Movie.Tyler also worked on the Transformers: Prime animated series, and for this film wanted to integrate electronic and live instrumentation, inspired by the music of Vangelis.In addition to the score, the film also features the original songs ‘If I Fall’, written by Tyler and performed by Quavo and Ty Dolla $ign, and ‘Together As One’ by DJ and producer.
