'Help me!': Moment suspect is heard screaming after being pounced on by police dog

Bodycam footage has revealed the moment a suspected domestic abuser was heard screaming out for help after being pounced on by a police dog in Tameside.

Officers uncovered a large stash of Class A drugs and weapons at a property in Hyde on Thursday morning (November 7). Police had been called to arrest a suspected domestic abuser following an allegation of a serious assault against his partner.

A 26-year-old suspect later escaped from police while in handcuffs and was chased into woodland. He was bitten by police dog PD Kyp and fell to the floor during the incident. "Stand still, you're gonna get bit," an officer can be heard yelling.

Seconds later, the suspect, lying on the ground, screams: "Please help me" and "he's biting my leg" as officers on scene tell the suspect to remain still and to stop moving.
