Helen Flanagan has revealed the real reason behind her split with the father of her children and footballer Scott Sinclair. The former Coronation Street Star recently said that she and Scott, 35, who share three children, ended because they just didn’t “like” each other anymore - despite still caring deeply for each other.

However now she has revealed that he didn’t understand her OCD or mental health which meant that there was no turning back, despite still “adoring” the ex Manchester City and Celtic player. "He didn't try to understand really, but he's not a bad guy.

He had a lot of his own stuff going on. "But I felt like he wasn't there for me a lot with those kind of things. I think that was one of the reasons we broke down.

I remember after I had Charlie, I didn't think he was my baby. "He was born with like a lot of like dark hair and next to me in the ward there was this Asian couple, but I thought for some reason that the midwife must have swapped my baby because I was confused I had this baby with black hair but that obviously wasn't the midwife, this was my OCD just playing up." Helen admitted that after her breakup with Scott, she suffered a breakdown over Christmas after a trip to New York - which spiralled into a psychotic episode.
