Former captain Roy Keane blasted Manchester United midfielder Fred following Saturday's 2-1 FA Cup final defeat to Manchester City at Wembley.
The Brazilian, who is the subject of interest from Fulham ahead of the summer transfer window opening for business later this month, retained his place in the starting line-up from the win over the Cottagers last weekend and partnered Casemiro at the base of the midfield.
Fred started the previous Manchester derby at Old Trafford back in January and produced an excellent performance. At Wembley, however, the former Shakhtar Donetsk ace failed to justify his inclusion, failing to combat City's midfield threat in the way that he had done at the start of the year.
He was guilty of giving away too many cheap fouls, one of which resulted in City scoring their second goal. READ MORE: The United dressing room mood following City defeat The Brazilian was guilty of tripping Kevin De Bruyne on the right touchline and the resulting free-kick, which was crossed in by the Belgian, found Ilkay Gundogan, who crashed in his second goal of the game from the edge of the penalty area.
