Hector Bellerin has suggested he is ready to take the Arsenal captaincy on a permanent basis amid doubts over current skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's future.
The Spaniard, 25, has spent nine years in north London since leaving Barcelona to join the Gunners' youth setup in 2011. He turned professional just one year later and has since racked up 193 appearances for the club, playing a crucial part in two FA Cup wins.
This season, Bellerin has been handed the captain's armband in the absence of Aubameyang - who was named skipper back in November when Granit Xhaka was stripped of the honour.
Nevertheless, Arsenal's leading goalscorer is being linked with a £50m summer move to Manchester United, with Mikel Arteta's side looking unlikely
