With third place assured in the final Premiership standings, Hearts will play in either the group stages of the Europa League or the Europa Conference League.
Demands on the squad will be tough with a heavy programme of games.Naismith knows he will have to recruit, but will refuse to go overboard and cause potential disruption within the workings of the current unit.
Hearts will bank an additional £5million for qualification, but it won’t spark a push just to boost numbers in an effort to offset a brutal schedule.
