‘Heart Eyes’ Trailer: Mason Gooding and Olivia Holt Are Hunted by a Valentine’s Day Killer
variety.comLauren Coates This Valentine’s Day, you might be seeing red. Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for “Heart Eyes,” the upcoming horror romantic comedy directed by “Werewolves Within” filmmaker/Dropout regular Josh Ruben.
Written by Phillip Murphy and “Freaky” co-writers Michael Kennedy and Christopher Landon, “Heart Eyes” stars Olivia Holt (“Cruel Summer”) and Mason Gooding (“Scream”) as a pair of unlucky coworkers who find themselves hunted by a masked killer on Valentine’s Day.
The official synopsis reads: “When the Heart Eyes Killer strikes Seattle, a pair of co-workers pulling overtime on Valentine’s Day are mistaken for a couple by the elusive couple-hunting killer.
Now they must spend the most romantic night of the year running for their lives.” Jordana Brewster, Gigi Zumbado, and horror mainstay Devon Sawa also star.
