'Heard nothing' - Manchester United surprise package in the dark over his Old Trafford future

Christian Eriksen is yet to hear anything about his Manchester United future despite enjoying a return to form so far this season.

The Dane is out of contract next summer and was available for transfer for most of the recent transfer window, but his decision to see out his final year has paid dividends, and he has played far more often than many people expected.

Eriksen has played in 13 of United's 18 fixtures so far this season, starting nine of them, and has returned four goals and three assists to emerge as a key man in the campaign.

He arrived at Old Trafford on a free transfer two years ago and has gradually found games harder to come by. United signed Mason Mount and Manuel Ugarte in the previous two windows, while the emergence of academy graduate Kobbie Mainoo has also dropped Eriksen down the pecking order.
