A woman is keeping her late mother's campaign to keep a killer behind bars ongoing after her sister was raped and murdered. Sasha Marsend was only 16 years old when she was stabbed over 100 times and her body set on fire.
Her killer, David Minto, 33, who dumped her body in an alleyway, had lured her with the promise of a part-time job. The Bolton teenager's mother, Jayne, 56, led an appeal to help ensure he stayed locked up.
However, she unfortunately passed away last month following a battle with lung cancer. The mum-of-two said: "This man is a danger. Such evil cannot be rehabilitated, and it can never be forgiven. He should die in prison, away from society. "I couldn't save my sister, and now mum is dead too, and I feel as though I have failed them both, because she died not knowing if or when Minto will be freed.
