A heartbroken mum is sharing her story following the tragic death of her son, which happened just weeks after he had secretly bought a motorbike.
Claire Leigh, 41, was unaware that her son, Mckenna, had bought a previously stolen Honda 125 for £180. His parents had earlier denied him permission to own a bike after the teenager refused to undertake a compulsory basic training course.
In September 2022, Mckenna and a friend secretly bought a bike and hid it in the woods near their family home in Denton, Greater Manchester. He suffered a cardiac arrest and severe abdominal injuries, which led to his untimely death. Mckenna's distraught family are now speaking out, hoping that their son's tragic death will serve as a cautionary tale to others.
