Illegal vapes and tobacco worth more than £14,000 was seized by police in shop raids across Rossendale. Lancashire Police and Rossendale Trading Standards visited businesses across Haslingden, Rawtenstall and Waterfoot, within which two locations had a total of over £14,000 worth of these illicit products.
Police shared pictures of bags filled with boxes of electronic vape devices, tobacco and cigarettes which were seized by officers.
Sergeant Paul Marsden from the Rossendale Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “These products are illegal and can pose a serious risk to the health of those consuming them. “I’m glad we have been able to remove a quantity of them off the streets of Rossendale and we will continue to work with our partners to tackle this issue.
