Miriam Margolyes has revealed she pretends to be Scottish when speaking to people in the street because “it’s much nicer for them” compared to her actual voice, which is “irritatingly posh”.
The actress said she changes her voice to make herself “more agreeable” to other people because her poshness can put people off.
