A hairdresser has shared images of a child's six-month lice infestation which took her nine hours to remove. Rachel Maroun, 21, works as a head lice technician and shares clips of her most severe cases online.

Her latest challenge involved a 12-year-old girl whose disabilities meant she could not handle the combing process, which would leave to overstimulation when attempted by her family.

In the end, the child's parents sought out Rachel for professional treatment, reports Wales Online. Rachel admits she was taken aback by the severity of the infestation, adding: "I was extremely surprised to see the amount of eggs her thick hair was housing," Rachel said.
