A deaf Lanarkshire gran has hit out at her home insurance company after being forced to sleep on a blow up mattress in her living room after a major flood destroyed her flat.Cathy Morris, who is due to undergo a hip replacement in the coming weeks, has been forced to live in just one room of her Coatbridge property for seven weeks due to being "messed about" by LV.The 72-year-old, who lost her husband Archie, 79, earlier this year, says that constant delays have meant she has been unable to find tradesmen to repair the damage due to the time of year.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

She told Lanarkshire Live: “I had a pre-assessment for a hip replacement around six weeks ago, which the insurance company knows about. “I could get word any day to go and get the operation.

But I haven’t got a bed to come home to. I’m in pain which is being made worse by the situation that I’m in because I’m having to squeeze my way about the living room.
