Grief-stricken Patrick Kielty carries mother's coffin at funeral as wife Cat Deeley's absence explained

Patrick Kielty paid his final respects to his mother at her funeral in Northern Ireland on Monday, 10 February, serving as a pallbearer to carry her coffin.The 54 year old presenter was visibly grief-stricken as he prepared to bid farewell to his mother, Mary Kielty, who had passed away at her home in Co Down on Saturday aged 84.

A large crowd gathered to line the streets, while friends and family attended the service at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Dundrum.

Dressed in a grey suit, Patrick joined the other pallbearers in carrying his mother's coffin into the church. Mary was remembered as a "loving mother" and "devoted grandmother" in a notice announcing her death.The notice added that she would be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her entire family, neighbours, and friends.

Mary was the proud mother of Patrick and his brothers, John and Cahal. Patrick has been married to This Morning host Cat Deeley since 2012, and they have two sons together, Milo, nine, and James, six.
