Dancing on Ice star Greg Rutherford has opened up about the "tough time" his family is facing following a nasty injury he sustained during the show.The 37 year old former Olympic champion had to withdraw from the ITV competition just before the grand finale due to a severe injury incurred in practice.
Greg, who famously clinched Olympic gold, took to social media to reveal the extent of his injury with a photo of his post-surgery scar, joking "effectively gave myself a C-section" after tearing his abs while trying a daring move with pro skater Colin Grafton.
Now, the sports star, who is a father of three, candidly shared with his fans the impact his injury has had on his home life.
In a heartfelt Instagram story this week, he expressed: "We're having a s*** time as a family at the moment so I'm cooking through it.Thanks for all your well wishes." Engaged to lifestyle blogger Susie Verill, Greg is a devoted dad to their children Milo, eight, Rex, five, and two year old Daphne.
