Greater Manchester weather forecast as Storm Pierrick sweeps over UK
manchestereveningnews.co.ukMore wet and windy weather is forecast for parts of the UK today as Storm Pierrick sweeps over the country. The storm has been named by Meteo-France, France's national weather service.
Storm Pierrick is set to bring 'threatening clouds and violent gales' to parts of northern France, but will also hit parts of the south of England.
According to forecasters, gusts of up to 75mph are forecast in parts of Cornwall, Devon and along the south coast. Windy weather is also forecast further north in England, though not as strong, with more rainy conditions forecast following on from Met Office-named Storm Kathleen over the weekend. Downpours are likely to turn heavy this evening at around 6pm. Temperatures will reach highs of around 14C. Tomorrow will be another windy day in our region with gusts reaching up to 40mph during some parts of the day.
