Rail commuters across Greater Manchester face further chaos and cancellations this week as strike action by train drivers rolls on.
Rail services on some of the busiest commuter routes in the country will be at a standstill today - Tuesday - because of a fresh strike by drivers in a near two-year long pay dispute.
The strikes will hit routes in Greater Manchester later this week, with Avanti West Coast drivers taking action on Wednesday and Northern and TransPennine Express on Thursday. Strikes will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at different operators, while drivers are also banning overtime until Saturday which is also causing disruption.
