A multi-storey car park is being closed for the weekend while major building work takes place at a Greater Manchester hospital.
Tameside Hospital is subject to a £20 million redevelopment project at the emergency department. Work on the major overhaul began last year, with the new facility expected to open in spring 2024.
As the project continues to take shape, patients and visitors are being warned to expect disruption this weekend. Tameside Hospital's multi-storey car park, on Fountain Street, closed at 6pm today (July 14) and is not set to reopen until 7am on Monday, July 17.
Alternative parking is available opposite the Charlesworth Building or at the Darnton Road car park.
