Grantchester fans in ‘floods of tears’ as they fear two character exits after fatal motorcycle crash
ok.co.ukITV police drama Grantchester may only be two episodes deep into its latest series, but already fans have been left reaching for the tissues after a nail-biting episode saw one fan favourite almost go down for murder!
The second instalment of series eight kicked off with a bang on Thursday evening ( 18 January) and saw Reverend Will Davenport, played by Tom Brittney, accidentally kill someone while riding his motorcycle, a crime which very nearly saw him charged with murder.
During the thrilling episode, fans were anxiously poised on the edge of their seats as they saw Will interrogated by the police over the incident and perhaps even facing a life behind bars!
As the intense line of questioning took place - which even reduced Will to tears - fans of the show were quick to share their thoughts on social media, including their heartache at the thought of losing such a beloved character. "There must be something wrong with my tear ducts.
