Viewers of the 63rd Grammy Awards noticed the show looked a bit different on Sunday night, thanks to the pandemic. Awards were presented outside, with nominees sitting at small tables — wearing masks, many of which matched their designer outfits — while some of the performances felt more intimate than in a typical year that sees a packed Staples Center full of cheering fans.
Still the show went on, with plenty of those aforementioned performances, and some awards were handed out during the live broadcast too.
Women had a big night, with Beyoncé, Blue Ivy Carter, Megan Thee Stallion and Taylor Swift making history (more on that below).
