It's been steady improvement under Clarke but Rangers and Liverpool hero Souness, who was part of the last Scotland side to beat Spain back in 1984, feels it's gone full-circle since then.
He recalls what it felt like when Scotland were capable of beating anyone, and reckons Clarke's side have finally got them back there.
