Gorka Marquez has been asked about his future on Strictly Come Dancing as he's set to return to the iconic ballroom this month.
The dancer made his debut in the BBC One dance contest in 2016. He is now the longest-serving male professional on the show, with the 2024 series marking his ninth year.
Gorka also has a lot more than a job to thank Strictly for too. It was in 2017 that the 34-year-old met Gemma Atkinson as they both vied for the Glitterball trophy with different partners -with Hits Radio host Gemma paired with pro Aljaz Skorjanec while Gorka was partnered with singer and actress Alexandra Burke. They have since got engaged and welcomed two children - Mia and Thiago - into the world. But Gorka is currently spending time away from his family as he prepares for the new series of Strictly, which begins on Saturday, September 14, with the pre-recorded launch show.
