Actress Vicki Michelle gave a heartfelt tribute to her late friend Linda Nolan on Good Morning Britain this Thursday. Following the sad news of actress and singer Linda's passing on Wednesday 15 January, Vicki joined presenters Ed Balls and Kate Garraway on the GMB couch to reminisce about their long-standing friendship. The pair had been close since the '70s, with Linda performing in The Nolans and Vicki gracing TV screens in comedy classics like The Two Ronnies and The Goodies.
Linda, who was first diagnosed with breast cancer two decades ago, was remembered fondly by Vicki, who poignantly shared: "I didn't ever think she'd go." She added, "I thought she'd get through this and it would be like 20 years ago when it was first there." Vicki also recounted how Linda met her husband Brian Hudson during their fun-filled Essex outings in the '70s, describing their love as one for the ages.
Vicki praised Linda's openness about her cancer battle, noting how her candour provided hope and encouragement to many, saying, "She was open and honest and gave support and hope and confidence to so many people.
I think that helped her cope with it as well because she was helping people and inspiring them not to give up," reports the Mirror.
