Olivia then went on to win two Oscars for best actress in films The Heiress and To Each His Own. Throughout her career, Olivia was famed for her feud with her younger sister, starlet Joan Fontaine, and the siblings refused to speak for 38 years up until Fontaine’s death in 2013 – she died aged 96.Olivia is also known for Warner Brothers and becoming responsible for the so-called De Havilland Law that was passed in 1944 and ended the tight grip studios had on contract actors in Hollywood.
