St Andrew’s Hospice benefited from a bumper donation thanks to the most successful golf day hosted by charity supporter Mears Group in a decade of support.The maintenance company has been supporting the Airdrie hospice for a decade, and raised £22,500 with the recent sporting spectacular hosted at Pollok golf club.It was supported by firms from across their supply chain, with the host club donating raffle and auction prizes while professional Scott Garrett of Affordable Golf lent his support by donating his fee to St Andrew’s and by hosting a “beat the pro” competition.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
