Since leaving Gogglebox in 2020, Viv Woerdenweber has embarked on a new chapter in her life. She recently celebrated a major milestone, graduating from the University of Liverpool with a Master's degree in Archaeology on December 10.
Viv's academic journey began when she enrolled in the university's Go Higher Programme at the age of 56, fulfilling a lifelong ambition to pursue higher education.
Her daughter Eve's encouragement played a significant role in her decision to take the leap. Viv's passion for learning led her to progress through various levels of education, and she now plans to continue her studies in archaeology.
Reflecting on her transition from television to academia, Viv shared with the Echo: "It's been hard, much harder than I thought it would be but I've made a lot of great friends.The teaching here is absolutely phenomenal all the academics are great.They go above and beyond and archaeology is a passion." The Wirral mum spoke of her intense love for history and her early dreams of becoming a historian, explaining her fascination with how people lived in the past: "It's not just the objects, it's what does this mean?
