Matt Minton mminton@variety.com Lynn Ban, a jewelry designer on Netflix’s “Bling Empire: New York,” spoke out about a skiing accident over the holiday break that resulted in her getting a craniotomy.
On Monday, Ban posted a picture of her laying in a hospital bed with stitches in her skull. She detailed how on Christmas Eve she was enjoying a family vacation in Aspen. “At the top of the mountain I caught a tip and face planted,” Ban wrote on Instagram.A post shared by LYNN BAN (@lynn_ban) Ban, who was wearing a helmet, got checked out by ski patrol and was cleared for a concussion.
She ended up getting a CAT scan at the hospital that “saved [her] life.” “They assessed me and I was cleared. I had a bit of a headache but thought after lunch it would be fine and I could ski again.
The paramedic suggested I go to the hospital for a cat scan. This saved my life,” she wrote. Ban recalled the little she remembers of the accident: “I went in a taxi with Jett [Kain] and within 30 minutes they told us I had a brain bleed and needed to be airlifted to the trauma hospital.
