A 51-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of modern slavery offences after police raided a premise in Trafford. Officers attended the address on Stamford New Road in Altrincham on Thursday (August 24) after receiving 'intelligence' relating to modern slavery.

Police now say a 'safeguarding plan' has been put in place for victims. The premises have been closed following a successful application for a closure order by Trafford Council at Manchester Magistrates Court.
